Abstract
La riabilitazione delle selle edentule posteriori in pazienti adulti con collasso del morso richiede un approccio multidisciplinare
Rehabilitating posterior edentulous spaces in adult patients with bite collapse requires a multidisciplinary approach.
Case Presentation
This report describes the case of an adult patient presenting with posterior edentulism and a reduced vertical dimension of occlusion. Treatment involved an orthodontic phase to redistribute spaces and restore occlusal relationships, followed by guided bone regeneration (GBR) in the edentulous areas. After healing, implants were placed in prosthetically guided positions, and the rehabilitation was completed with implant-supported restorations.
Results
The treatment enabled correct implant placement, the restoration of occlusal function, and good aesthetic outcomes, with clinical and radiographic stability observed during follow-up.
Conclusions
Integrating orthodontics and bone regeneration represents an effective approach for managing posterior edentulism associated with bite collapse, ensuring predictable and stable results.
